How to Care for the Hurting

The Bible clearly and consistently calls us to care for people who are experiencing pain from difficult life experiences.  Many of us are uncertain of how we can most effectively care for hurting people.  This course will equip you to demonstrate loving concern and offer support, encouragement, and hope to those struggling with disappointment, loss, and brokenness.  Would you like to help Bethany Church increasingly become a place of refuge for the hurting where they can be replenished by the love of Christ displayed through the people of God?

Class begins January 14th at 8:30am in Room 11. Led by Jack Rants.

What Every Christian Asks:
Curious Collection of Questions

Yes, a book whose newest parts were written 2,000 years ago actually holds the answers to some of the toughest questions that we face as we lead our lives today.  In this series, we'll explore the Bible's answers to six interesting questions.

- Things aren't working out for me.  I'm worried and frustrated.  Can the Bible help me?

- Does forgiving mean forgetting too?

- If God loves everyone, why doesn't he save everyone, rather why does he save so few?

- What is the role of Christian in politics?

- What did Jesus mean when he said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven, and what are the implications for us, since we are rich by the world's standards?

Class begins January 14th in Room 2 at 8:30am. Led by Chris Conklin.
